PRODUCT UPGRADE

Please view the enhancements list below and then click the button at the bottom of the list.  Print this page and the next page for help in performing the upgrade.

We are happy to announce the release of DonorPlus 3.5.   You will need your username (software serial number) and password to perform the download from our web site.  These are found on the inside front cover of your CD package.  Please make sure you have a current backup of your data prior to installing the upgrade.  We cannot be responsible for lost data due to the upgrade procedure if you do not have a good current backup.

Before you begin the upgrade, start DonorPlus, make sure you are currently on Version 3.0 or higher. (if not please call support before trying to do upgrade).  Also, be sure that the program does not need to verify data. (If it does, complete the verify process before installing 3.0 upgrade.)  Close the DonorPlus program and install the upgrade

  1.     Moved spouse field to donor name and address page.

  2.    Added ability to automatically enter City, State and County fields based on a postal code entry.

  3.     Enhanced phone number controls in donor record including ability to select the day phone without retyping phone number.

  4.    Identifiers listed in donor record can now be sorted using the rebuild index files utility.

  5.     Added ability to setup how salutations are created when creating or editing a donor record.

  6.    Added utility to backup your DonorPlus data files to a zip file.

  7.     Added utility to merge two donor records and combine their giving history.

  8.     Added ability to build a query to include donor’s who have given to specific events or appeals.

  9.     Added ability to select from three target donor list formats after building or refreshing a query.  New target donor list choices include, donation summary, contact list, and church affiliation formats.

  10.    Added ability to add / edit / delete postal codes from a master list.

  11.     Added ability to adjust or write off a pledge balance.

  12.     Added an adjustment column to the pledge list report to identify which pledge balances have been adjusted or written off.

  13.    Added “EFT” as a donation payment type.

  14.     Added ability to allow multiple appeals for an event.  Leaving the appeal field blank for a specific event will make the appeal field in a pledge or gift record open to the entire appeal list.

  15.    Added ability to turn page numbering on or off when printing giving statements.

  16.    Added ability to sort the giving history report by church affiliation including an option to show group giving totals for each church.

  17.    Added ability to print mailing labels or create an export file from the giving history report results.

  18.    New donation summary report will give you totals for this year, last year and lifetime giving history as well as first, last and largest donations for selected group of donors.  Mailing labels can also be printed from the donation summary results.

  19.     New pledge aging report will help you stay on top of your donation commitments.
